The m–power programme is a partnership between the YMCA and YWCA. It’s for young people 14 –25 years. m–power is a 6 month experience that is supportive, fun, challenging and interesting. There’s learning through outdoor education and residential opportunities, accredited training, peer mentoring and group work led by the key issues and concerns important to young people today. Take aways include qualifications, new experiences and knowledge, increased confidence and self–esteem, new friendships and so much more.
m–power is a youth–focused programme operating from 10 locations – here in Belfast YMCA and in Carrickfergus, Derry–Londonderry, Larne, Lisburn, Lurgan, Monaghan, Newcastle, North Down and Portadown.
It is funded under the Children and Young People’s objective of the PEACE IV
Programme which aims to promote peace and reconciliation.
