Plans Submitted for New Homes and Community Facilities at Belfast YMCA Stranmillis

Belfast YMCA and Newpark Homes have announced exciting plans to redevelop the YMCA’s Stranmillis site, including 25 new homes, a full-sized 3G football pitch, a playpark, and a 650m trim trail.

The Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) submitted early July 2025, launched a 12-week community consultation period. Residents and local groups will be invited to a public event at Belfast YMCA Stranmillis to view plans, meet the team, and share their views.

The project aims to provide much-needed housing and modern community facilities — ensuring the site continues to serve local families, children, and older people for generations to come.

As part of the planning process, we are hosting a public drop-in consultation to present the proposals and gather feedback from local residents and community organisations.
